The last few months have been very exciting and busy! Throughout May we traveled to Chicago for Tim's grandfather's funeral, went to a church leadership conference in Atlanta, and I went on a church women's retreat with Adilyn. Being away for several weekends made me really miss the rocking chair and crib :) but it all proved to be great time

spent together as family. Adilyn was a great little traveler! June was very full for Tim as he worked hard to raise money for a church building that recently became available. The building was in foreclosure so the price was a bargain considering how good of shape it was in. I won't go into all the details, but through the hard work of Tim, the Scum staff and church council, and church members, over $400,000 was raised in just 30 days and the church was able to get a short term loan to purchase the building last week. So many generous individuals and churches rallied around us and we are extremely grateful to know that soon we will have a permanent home. I'm extremely proud of Tim for leading the effort and it is beautiful to see how his hard work has paid off! Here is a picture of Tim and our lead pastor Mike Sares signing the official papers. So exciting!! We still need to raise an additional $190,000 to pay of the loan, so please be praying that we can bring in more money and that the church leadership will be wise in the approach to laying a good foundation with the surrounding community.
Adilyn is over 10 months now. Time is flying by and she continues to change all the time. She is starting to cruise around on the furniture now and is interested in pulling herself up against anything fairly stable.
On another note--we planted a vegetable garden around the middle of May and our plants seem to be thriving with the compost Tim lays on it periodically and lots of water. We have tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini, broccoli, cabbage, herbs, and peppers. I'm anxious for the harvest in the fall :)

Yaah! Another blog =) Adilyn is growing so fast! My parents are here for another few days, but then things should settle down. I'll be focusing on the baby more, so I'll probably pick your brain about a few things. Hope you're well!
We'll have to put Adi to work pulling up carrots and potatoes. I didn't realize the church purchase was a success and that the papers have been signed. Congratulations!!! I can't wait to see it, and to see it filled with the Holy Spirit!
Adilyn is so lovely! how fun to catch up on your blog. It looks like she's quite a bit more mobile than the last post :) I hope your garden and the church are thriving! Peace.
