countin down the days
So much has happened since I last updated my blog, but I will focus on some of the major events of the last few weeks to highlight. Tim and I have been working hard around the house getting projects done before the baby arrives. We painted her room last week a light green that I already find very peaceful and calming when I walk in. Hopefully, this color will bring about the same feelings for our little girl :) Here's a pic of Tim being cheesy in front of the mirror. Our dog of course wanted to be a part of the action and laid right up against the wall and had a light green tail for a while.
The weekend before Tim and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary up in the mountains. Although the trip up to Breckenridge was just 24 hours, it felt so nice to get away and reflect about the last year and all that God has taught us. We spent sometime walking around the main street, treated ourselves to some delicious fondue for dinner, and spent the night in a beautiful hotel right alongside the ski slopes. I look back at this last year of marriage and thank God that he helped us work through some very tough decisions and carried us through some potentially stressful times with ease and grace (Tim deciding to leave his full time job to raise support and leading the church staff while our main pastor was on sabbatical for three months, finishing up grad school and my thesis, deciding to pursue nursing school, deciding to try to have a baby :), Tim's time of wrestling through whether to stay at Scum and start a new service, me wrestling about whether to work part time or not. . .) We thank all of you for your support, advice, and prayers that have helped our marriage stay strong and grow deeper.
Lastly, here is a pic of my dad and I comparing bellies while we were at his house celebrating his b-day.
So according to my due date, I have about 7 more weeks to go! much love to all you dear friends!!
